My new favourite blog is A Year in Charlie's Pocket by Cynthia. It is a beautiful collection of things she finds from the super cool Charlie (who is an awesome drawer too) and a great insight into his mind. Seriously lovely stuff.

Art Licks
The other week at the ICA I picked up a copy of "Art Licks". The magazine aims to "explore what artists, curators and galleriests are doing and thinking." They also run a pretty cool website and the contents of this is reflected in the quarterly publication. The whole inside is a one colour print and looks pretty epic, in my opinion. Nice one.

Prick Your Finger
It's hard to keep up with what PYF are up to as they are always soo crazy busy. Whether they're knitting jackets for Boris Bikes or knitting the front of their shop in Bethnal Green, they are always up to something ace! It's run by Rachel Matthew and Louise Clarke who both met at CSM. I remember going to their knitting club "Cast Off" at Tatty Devine when I was like nine and being soo excited by so many people making stuff in a tiny shop. They're the kind of girls who do stuff rather than talking about it!
Currently, they have a pop up shop at Rough Trade (east). So if you're down Truman's totally pop in and they are doing lots of events. I would totally recommend going because they are the loveliest ladies ever!
Last year after complaining to them about how John Lewis didn't have any shoulder pads and writing about it in my zine. They decided to start stocking them to get me my hit, with dallas packaging naturally. They are too cool. That's what is the best about having your own shop - being able to introduce new products so quickly.
Their shop is on 260 Globe Road, E2. Which is full of lots of ace knitted bits and bobs. They also sell my zine there.

RUBBISH
Rubbish is a bi-annual fabulous, hardback fashion magazine the brainchild of Jenny Dyson. Think the Beano meets Vogue. I interned there a few summers back, they also produce London Fashion Week's daily publication. The work and editorials they produce are so fun. Imagine Erin O'Conor dressed as Dot Cotton sitting in a laundrette and wearing laundry bag outfits (naturally circa Louis Vuitton s/s 2007).
Anyway their blog is updated daily with the best bits in design and fashion and is super charming.
Jacket potatoes in designer jackets ... obviously!

Build
Build are a graphic design agency. Here is their manifesto:

Above is packaging which is a response to the government proposing to sell cigarettes in plain white packaging to limit they're appeal. Build, tried to design packaging which looked good while still warning smokers.

Several years back at a Kingston illustration degree show, I bought a neat little zine called "This Is It" from the show stall. The authours published this zine every week during their time at Kingston. Several years later I realised that this zine was made by the collective This Is It, who now work on commercial projects and do individual freelance work in their collective.
The collective is made up of some of my fave people including the wicked Rose Blake and Laura Bird. Below is their latest film "Don't Hug Me I'm Scared". I think it is superb and very slick. Plus I'm a sucker for puppetry.
