Having Gilbert & George on the Christmas tree makes me super happy, as their work is ace. Their exhibitions at all the White Cube's this year was really great and exciting.

And (super tenuous link ...) congrats to Rosie and Harriet of Tatty Devine (who have collaborated with Gilbert and George) for getting MBE's. Two very hard working ladies. xx

AND happy new year!

How awesome is Meadham Kirchhoff's teddy bear bag??? Totally the coolest!! Bit pricey, but fabulous none the less !

ps. Going to try and post stuff on here loads more (cool stuff, whats on and my work), so keep checking back. Also I've got twitter, get involved ... @barbarafryan

My sister said I should do a round up of the year.
A round up of the years jokes haha.

The best joke she has heard all year is ...
- she says she hasn't heard any jokes all year, tragic

The best joke I have heard all year is ...
- can't think of one either, but lord sugar is hilarious

What a bad year for jokes lets hope 2013 is a better year for jokes

Nah, I will do a proper review/round up thing, at some point this year.
Lots of time to kill.

Viv Westwood silk scarves are one of the many things I collect, here are a few cheeky scans for ya! xx

Yuck! How mental are these slippers I saw in a market in Barca?!

3 minute documentary about John, the Groundsman.  Made with Milly Bruce, Amy Webster and Propella Woodward Gentle.

Felix made some gifs of the crockery, we made with Tom as well last week !

Yesterday, I snuck into the product design studios to hear a talk by Bethan (of Wood London). And it was blinking great. I have been a fan of her work for sometime now and it was rad to hear here speak so openly about it, as well as her thinking and manufacturing processes. Bethan produced the above image by photocopying salami's and hams (that she was obsessed with whilst in Venice) and adjusting the colour output on the photocopiers to produce some seriously gorgeous images, reminiscence of marble (but are just really yummy!). The images below are my favourite work of Bethan's, which came from her obsession with formica and laminate surfaces, come on who doesn't have a soft spot for some pink glittery formica? Her hybrid laminate combinations are wicked, as are the original mineral sketches they are based on.  Seriously sick stuff.

Last month, I attempted to create a one size fits all hair do, as part of a self initiated one day brief. The image on the right is the onesizefits all do (it's a pretty ghastly look) and the left presents the cumulative style of 60 looks from hairstyle magazines.  x

Over the weekend Felix, Tom and I created paper crockery as part of a sustainable objects brief, in response to the material we were given which was cardboard. xx
