So I've moved to Amsterdam for the rest of the year! I've been there for about a month so far. The reason being is I applied for The Kennedys scheme at Wieden+Kennedy (the best right!) and got a place! Going to be a crazy seven months but I'm excited to see what will come!

On Saturday it was World Malaria Day. The charity Malaria No More and Jack Wills work together to fundraise for the cause, one of these ways is by selling charity bracelets. I came up with some DIYs and then illustrated them to raise awareness of the cause.

Brrrrrrrrrr, it's cold outside! Some knitting I've been up to lately using some chunky Rowan wool. Need to finish my
second mitten off, made up the pattern myself but think I chucked the notation out accidently ... whoops!

So this is quite an old project from 2007. Silent Studio came in and gave us a talk a few months ago and this project really stuck with me. The video below explains it better than I can. I just think it is such a clever and simple use of loads of projectors (and I've always wanted to go to a revoling restaurant too!).

On the note of Sketch, David Shrigley has recently done their interiors with 239 new drawings and some ceramics I wouldn't mind owning - looks bangin, if only I had the ££££$$$$€€€€  - a gurl can dream!

So Londoners, I don't know if you have noticed but all the old grates in London are being replaced by identical plastic ones . And my Mum has undertook the challenge of documenting as many as she can before change is fully implemented. Once you start looking at them you really notice the sheer variety of designs, sizes and patterns and if you're not London based take a look at my Mum's photo blog where she has been recording them all ... http://lornasaw.tumblr.com/

Last week, I went to the best private view I've been to in literally years. And it was courtesy of the lovely Margot Bowman and the team over at 15folds.com. 'Everything all at once' is at the old White Cube in Hoxton and the space has been taken over by QR codes, using the app (that they developed specially) you can scan all the gifs. I thought it was brilliant and for once everyone was talking about the art and interacting with it at the opening. Hopefully this is the future.

Guess the animal? Earlier in the week, I spent a day printing some extra copies of a publication based on the 'After Life' exhibition at the Horniman Museum. It was from a brief set by the design studio Julia, to create a catalogue for a show of your choice.

ps. It was a passenger pigeon, obviously!

How great is this Melita Gandham print I bought the other week? It's super playful, definitely the best £1 I've spent in a while! It reminds me of one of my favourite pieces, The Snail by Matisse. It really sucks how expensive it is to see the Matisse Cut outs exhibition at the Tate, it's such a shame how dear entry prices can really put one off going to a major show.
